Poppy (Papaver somniferum) is an important medicinal plant. It has high economic value for its alkaloids and secondary metabolites. Many diseases reported on P. somniferum, the opium poppy, includes bacterial, fungal, five species of nematodes and some viruses have been reported to infect poppy. However, there is no record of any Begomovirus on Papaver sominifera was encountered during the literature survey, therefore this book will be useful to Research Scholars working on begomoviruses and other related plant viruses of various research Institute and Universities.
