Receded fjord waters impacted by glacial movement and ice jams in the Arctic allow Fy to take advantage of his huge height and walk across. Two Nisse, small Norse troll people, accompany him and the three fact adventures on the journey to the New World.
About the Author
Jan Smith, a former teacher, writes a Norse fiction troll story, interspersing factual Arctic ice flow movement with mythological explanation of how the New World was settled. Using the Artic Ocean and geological research on early ice flow Smith creates a plausible explanation for New World settlement.
