As of 21st century, source of natural resources is limiting, which leads to the need of finding alternatives for them. Certain industrial waste products like crusher dust can be used in place of sand there by taking care of the otherwise waste product that is a threat to environment in addition to using up valuable real estate. Usage and production of cement is much more expensive. Manufacturing cement gives rise to production of Carbon dioxide which aids in global warming. At the same time, disposal of waste materials like fly ash, silpozz and blast furnace slag is another difficulty we face. These problems can be solved by replacing portland cement with these by products. It has been observed that usage of fly ash in place of cement in concrete increases its strength and durability. Silpozz which is eco-friendly can be used in place of silica fume to increase its firmness. In this book, crusher dust is taken as the replacement of Natural fine aggregate and fly ash and silpozz are taken as cement replacement material. This book shows that sand can be fully replaced by crusher dust and cement can be partially replaced by fly ash and silpozz.
