LaDainian Tomlinson

LaDainian Tomlinson, called "LT," is one of the most exciting football players as a star running back of the New York Jets. LT rose to his present position from relatively unknown Texas teams. Drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 2001 as the starting running back, LT has become a role model for his record-breaking athletic gifts. In 2003, he became the first player in NFL history to rush for 1,000 yards and record 100 receptions in the same season. In 2005, he was only the seventh player in history to run, catch, and throw for a touchdown in the same game. In the 2006 season, LT scored a record-setting 19 touchdowns in the span of six games, and the next season was awarded the NFL AP Most Valuable Player Award. In 2009, he continued to break records, becoming the fastest player to reach 150 career touchdowns in the same game. After suffering several injuries, he moved to the Jets, where his numbers continue to be strong.
