A part time musician falls hopelessly in love with a female homicide detective who in all outward appearances is an attractive, exciting looking girl. He is never certain of her sexuality and the overwhelming intrigue and curiosity carries him through a series of baffling mysteries. The tragic, unfulfilled love affair weaves through three murders and is culminated with an assault on him.
The musician is rebuffed by the strange behavior of the detective, but is comforted and assuaged by the girl's mother. He finds a heartwarming, compassionate companion in the older woman. This creates a crazy dilemma in his life. He is torn between loving her as the true soul mate he has longed for all his life or accepting her as a surrogate mother figure.
Poor little Robin goes through life with an inordinate amount of heavy baggage until he finds a savior that finally pacifies his life.
