Review This book by Jo Ann Schneider Farris tells it all from the aspect of daily skating as enjoyed by countess young people all over the country and on a daily basis throughout  the year.  I enjoy recalling some of Jo Ann's personal skating history, and I welcome the opportunity to provide a foreword to this chronicle of figure skating written by a "real" skater who has done and seen it as a competitor, a widely read writer, and now even as a skating parent.  Morry Stillwell Past President U.S. Figure Skating From the Author Dear Reader:  Travel on a wonderful adventure with me!  Learn everything and anything about skating as you journey through my skating life, meet all the special friends I have made, and read how the figure skating world has changed.  Happy Skating!JO ANN About the Author Jo Ann Schneider Farris began skating in the 1960s because her father loved skating. She and her siblings, Billy and Lynnellen, went on to become serious competitive skaters. Jo Ann medaled at the US National Figure Skating Championships in ice dancing in the 1970s, and in the early 1980s, she began her career as a skating coach. She has taught hundreds of skaters since then, and also taught her husband, Dan, and her own three children, Joel, Rebekah, and Annabelle, to skate. As About.com's Figure Skating Expert, Jo Ann has written hundreds of articles that include information about "all things skating!"  This book takes the reader through Jo Ann's fifty-plus years of skating.  As the reader takes a journey through Jo Ann's skating life, he or she will learn how the skating world has changed and at the same time learn everything and anything there is to know about skating.
