Product Description The first Conference on the Study of the History of Canadian Science and Technology, held in Kingston, Ontario in November 1978, marks the emergence of a new Canadian discipline. Jarrell is Associate Professor of Natural Science at Atkinson College, York University, Toronto. He holds the Ph.D. degree in the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology from the University of Toronto. Co-editor of A Curious Field-book, he has also published extensively in the history of Canadian science and Renaissance science. Norman R. Ball is Science and Engineering Archivist at the Public Archives of Canada, Ottawa. He holds the Ph.D. degree from the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and technology at the University of Toronto. He is co-editor of Let Us Be honest and Modest: Technology and Society in Canadian History.
