About the Author David W Stewart retired from America's Space Program in 1996 to care for his wife, Annette, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 1999. When he retired, Stewart was the program development manager for Rockwell Launch Operations and organized the production of proposals, strategic business plans, and legislative white papers. His aerospace career included major engineering positions on the Atlas/Mercury, Titan/Gemini, Saturn/Apollo, and Space Shuttle programs. Prior to his wife's confinement, David traveled the world with her and witnessed many incidents of human suffering. These images form the basis for this novel. After Annette died, David established and operated L&D Consulting, a firm specializing in grants, proposals and business plans. He also nurtured his talent for writing and won the first place award for non-fiction from the Space Coast Writers' Guild. Later, he was president of that group. Starting in 2000, David pursued a passion for writing fiction. He completed courses of study with Humber College and the Writers' Digest School and self-published his first novel, Psychic Redemption through Trafford Publications. David continued his Coreopsis series with Within the Wind, published in 2010. Serious Consequences carries on that series. Stewart was designated one of 1,000 Leaders of World Influence for the New Millennium by the American Biographical Institute for his work with many philanthropic organizations involved in education, environmental protection, and human services.
