As the saying goes, fact is often stranger than fiction! About the Author The Author Julie Wright was born in Brisbane, Australia. Julie's love of writing and passion for the arts together with a boundless curiousity for adventure and the freedom of flight led her to write her first book, "Tarmacs & Tantrums" - My true story.. Julie started out her professional career in the Arts as a popular vocalist head-lining big bands in Brisbane and Sydney Australia. Julie also worked for several sound studios in Brisbane and Sydney where she performed vocals for backing tracks, jingles and voice over's. In the 90's, Julie wrote 30 minute children's shows for performance in shopping centre entertainment and television spots. Julie has worked with some of Brisbane's finest dancers, actors and performers. In 2007 Julie continued to write and produce her childrens songs. Julie performed the vocal tracks to "in My Truck", "The Fairy Song" and "Tinkle Dum." They are for sale on I-Tunes, Amazon.com and several other global sites. When asked why she enjoys writing for children, she replied cheekily, "My inner child is alive and well, I thoroughly enjoy experiencing the world once again through the eyes of children. Fun and beautifully simple." Today Julie lives in Brisbane Australia, she is the proud mother of two adult children and is in the process of outlining her next book while completing more of her children's songs.
