Most of them are stories, a sharing of David's experiences as a sailor, student and holder of a dozen odd jobs before starting his 36-year career in journalism in Virginia, Indiana and the Far East.

Type Dancing is a continuation of my first



Allen, David. Type Dancing . Kindle Edition. two books of poetry, "The Story So Far,"  and "(more)".  The poems span my lifetime and many were published in small magazines, websites and anthologies. Most of them are stories, a sharing of my experiences as a sailor, student and holder of a dozen odd jobs before starting my 36-year career in journalism in Virginia, Indiana and the Far East. The last 19 of those years I was a news bureau chief for Stars and Stripes on Guam and Okinawa, Japan. I am now retired and live in central Indiana, where I am the Vice President and Contest Director for the Poetry Society of Indiana, and host open mic nights.
