About the Author


Nadia Higgins is the published author of more than 70 books for kids and young adults. In addition to weird inventions, she has written about explorers, national parks, outer space, pop stars, and zombies. Higgins lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband and two daughters.

Joseph Faison IV is a New Orleans–based musician, producer, audio engineer, and composer originally hailing from Nashville, TN. After years on the road as a five-string banjoist he settled in New Orleans to focus on performing traditional jazz and to build and operate a recording facility.

Dean Jones is a Grammy award–winning producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, blueberry picker, and lover of life. He’s released fifteen CDs for kids, solo and with his band Dog on Fleas, but is proudest of his work producing compilation CDs that have raised over $100,000 for Haiti, girls’ science education, and LGBTQ youth.
